MS. Shalinee Kulshreshtha


Shalinee Kulshreshtha has joined Pearson India on 16th April as the General Counsel, Pearson India for South Asia. She brings with her an overall experience of 16 years post qualification. She is a qualified lawyer and has a master’s degree in law too. She started her career as a practicing lawyer with an Advocate on record in Supreme Court of India, wherefrom she moved to a full service Law firm M.V.Kini & Co. Her inclination to do general corporate legal work made her make a move to the Corporate world, wherein, she worked in corporations like DuPont, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Avaya Global Connect and Honeywell. In her last role with Honeywell, she was heading the Law and Contracts function for S. Asia as well as she was the team leader for Europe Middle east and Africa leading a team of seven lawyers out of which three were based in India, one in Prague and three in Bratislava. She has all through been achieving distinctions by being topper of school, her college and then, finally as Gold medalist in the University. She is Six Sigma Green Belt Certified. She brings with her experience in the field of litigation, contracts, intellectual property rights, advisory, compliances, mergers and acquisitions etc. She developed strategy and managed major/complex programs and lead global projects. In past, she was selected for High Growth Regions Business Simulation as a participant (one amongst 30 global, cross-Strategic Business Group/function leaders). She has received various awards from her previous employers including award from the Global Corporate CEO and had been a prestigious member of High Growth Regions Leadership Forum.


MS. Ojasvita Srivastava

Ojasvita Srivastava is a Legal Counsel at G4S. She heads the legal function in Guam, North Mariana Islands and Papua New Guinea. Prior to joining G4S, she was a Senior Legal Manager at Reliance Communications where she handled regulatory litigation and arbitration matters besides reviewing contracts with the government.    She is also the Founder of Project Abhimanyu (, a pro-bono social initiative (working under the registered trust Lex Ferenda Foundation). Project Abhimanyu provides free legal guidance to first generation lawyers and law students. It also provides training programmes for lawyers and law students. Founded in 2015, Project Abhimanyu has so far worked with law students across 70 colleges all over India, while also conducting workshops and seminars. Project Abhimanyu presently has 50+ Mentors from across the country including General Counsels of MNCs, Law firm partners and highly successful litigators. Ojasvita completed her LLB (Honours) course from V. M. Salgaocar College of Law, Goa with full scholarship and also acquired an LLM in Commercial and Corporate Law from Queen Mary, University of London. Before working in-house, she practiced litigation for 3.5 years at the Hon’ble Supreme Court, the Hon’ble Delhi High Court and District courts in Delhi.



MS. Parveen Mahtani


Ms. Parveen Mahtani

Parveen graduated with an LLB from the Government Law College, Mumbai where she won the MC Chagla Gold Medal from the Mumbai University for securing the highest marks across law colleges in Mumbai. Parveen began her career at Nishith Desai Associates where she worked in their Mumbai and Palo Alto, USA offices. She moved on to join IL&FS Trust Co Ltd. and subsequently Lodha Developers Pvt Ltd where as Vice-President Legal she spearheaded the largest private investment into London’s prime residential marke as well as one of India’s largest FDI deals in real estate. She later joined the Wadia Group of Companies where she headed their litigation and non-ligation practice. She is present General Counsel for Tata Housing Development Co Ltd.

She was featured by the Indian Corporate Counsel Association in their book titled “India’s Finest  In-House Counsels” published in 2016. She has also been acknowledged as one of “Asia’s Top 25 In-House Counsels” by the Asian Legal Business. She has also been honoured as “Top 25 General Counsels in India” by the ICCA in London. She was also featured in the Economic Times in their feature “Young Leaders –Women who go above and beyond to distinguish themselves profesionally deserve accolades”.

She has writen extensively on various aspects of commercial law including capital markets, tax and insurance laws and is a regular speaker at various forums.



MR. Nitin Mittal


Nitin is currently working as Head of Legal, Compliance and Company Secretary- India sub-continent of Philips Lighting India Limited. He is part of the India Lighting Leadership Team and part of the Growth Markets Legal Team. Prior to joining Philips Lighting, he has worked as Head of Legal, Compliance & Company Secretary for OSRAM India Pvt Ltd where he spent 9+ years in the legal function.  There he was responsible for Legal, Compliance and Company Secretary for India and also acted as Compliance officer for Australia and supported the APAC Compliance team for compliance task in the APAC Region. He also served as a Director in OSRAM Lighting Private Limited as part of the carve out project of OSRAM in India. He has a total work experience of around 16 years.

Nitin was recently selected as amongst India’s Finest in-house counsel’s by Indian Corporate Counsel Association “ICCA” on 7th Oct 2017 with forewords from the Ministry of Commerce. He and his team were also selected for the GC Powerlist: India Teams 2017 0n 10th  Nov, 17 ( top 100 teams out of 500+nominations received by global legal 500) . He was also listed among the top 500 GCs in India in the directory of the World IP form in 2017. (Profile of ICCA and Legal 500 enclosed). Also, Philips Lighting (during his working) was selected as India’s most ethical company in the category of “consumer electronics” by World CSR day in Nov 17 which is a recognition also of the efforts put in by the legal team on sustaining and enhancing the compliance culture with the company.

Nitin is a B.Com (H) graduate from Delhi University, a Master Degree in Business Laws from NLSIU, Bangalore and a professionally qualified advocate, company secretary, PGDM(finance) from AIMA, Delhi, and a fellow member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He has also attended advanced leadership program at Siemens, OSRAM and at Philips Lighting.

Nitin has over the last 16 years handled functions covering Legal, Compliance, Insurance and Real Estate, while leading teams on mergers/ demergers/Corporate restructuring, acquisitions and integration of acquired companies, civil and criminal litigations and high-stake arbitrations. He has set up new plants, established contract management processes, implemented compliance programs and managed complex projects with regional and global implications.

MR. Anupam Sharan


Anupam Sharan, Sr. Director, Sutherland Global Services, is a senior attorney managing strategic legal, contractual and commercial programs globally for over $4 Billion spend per annum. He has extensive legal and contractual experience in drafting, negotiation, corporate, commercial including International law, M&A, government affairs, risk, governance, change, compliance and privacy matters. He seeks to channelize business and operational insights to provide thought leadership within the industry and contribute to shape laws, regulations and public policies. He brings experience across multiple industries such as consulting, banking and financial services, telecom, outsourcing, IT, ITES, steel, power and construction. He has good experience in working closely with Operations / stakeholder functions and helping build appreciation to the contractual obligations and commitments.

He is a regular speaker at various conferences, with many articles and white paper published to his name. He has dual qualification of Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (B.E.) and Bachelor’s in Legislative Law (LL.B.) with Master’s in Business and IPR Law (LL.M) added with various certifications. He also serves as the Editorial Board member at IACCM (International Association for Contract and commercial Management), USA. He is also a certified Director from IOD (institute of Directors).


MR. Sachin Kalra


Sachin, having pursued his master degree from the esteemed Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune holds specialization in Corporate Law and Intellectual Property Rights Law.

Post graduating, Sachin joined as a faculty of law with the same University. Subsequently, he decided to pursue the career in the litigation & Corporate world in pursuit of which he joined the legal team at Vodafone and thereafter Samsung and Bharti Retail.

Sachin in his prior assignment headed legal function of Bharti AXA and has a rich experience of sixteen years not only in the Legal fold but also in the Compliance fold , he has a wide experience of handling a diverse range of legal matters in different industries like Insurance, Telecom, FMCG , Retail , Electronics, Consumer Durables & Insurance.

Always open to challenges and learning, Sachin has never been coy of taking up new tasks in any environment. His career says is and will always be a means of learning and exploring the unconventional. Demonstratively, he is today heading the legal team at Bharti AXA Life Insurance Company Limited and is responsible for all legal matters governing the working of the Organization which include corporate, criminal and consumer litigation matters including employee litigation-related matters, contract management and other aspects of non-litigation activities.

However, with a penchant for research and love for academics, he continues to hold a keen interest in interacting with and tutoring law students on a wide array of subjects beyond the rote learning of textbooks.





Mr. Ashok Maheshwary is an alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce and Law Graduate from University of Delhi, besides being Fellow a Member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India and PG in Business Management from XLRI – Jamshedpur.

He has an experience of 28 years in various facets of corporate and legal functions which include long-term fundraising,
contract management, risk mitigation, corporate governance besides litigation management.

He started his career with Dabur India Limited besides working for Gillette India Limited and other big corporates in India. His longest corporate stint was with SpiceJet Limited (2001 – 2011) as it’s Vice President – Legal & Company Secretary and was part of core team which re-launched India’s second no-frill airline in 2005. He has been with GMR Group for three years as its General Counsel – Airport Sector.

Presently, he is Group Counsel – Legal, Karam Chand Thapar Group and overseas legal function of the group across energy/logistics / commercial real-estate/manufacturing & exports.


MR. S B Mitra


Shri S B Mitra did his B.Sc.(Hons) from North Bengal University, MBA from IISW & BM, affiliated to Calcutta University. He did his LLB from Calcutta University and LLM from K R Mangalam University. In addition to above, he possesses an MA in Public Administration from HP University and an Advance Management Research Diploma in HRD from AIMA.

He had done his PhD in Strategic Human Resource Management from University of Petroleum & Energy Sciences (UPES), Dehradun.

Currently, he is pursuing a second PhD in Conciliatory Mechanism (Law) from K R Mangalam University.

He has an overall HR & legal experience of more than 35 years and is currently heading HR and Legal Departments concurrently of a Maharatna PSU under HR Directorate. He is posted as Executive Director(Law & HR), GAIL.

His areas of expertise in HR are Strategic Human Resource Management, Labour Laws, Policy Formulation, Employee Relation Management, handling disciplinary matters and social security benefits etc.

He was also a part of a high-level committee constituted for negotiations on International Contracts for import of LNG like Sabine Pass, Cove Point, USA etc. He also took active part in negotiations and finalization of various contracts/agreements for the inter-country TAPI pipeline (a venture between Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India), and many other Mergers & Acquisition projects of GAIL.

He is currently the Chairman, Standing Committee SCOPE for legal matters, and a life member of many progressive HR associations like AIMA, SHRM, ISTD, NHRDN etc.

He is presently the Regional Vice President, Northern Region of NIPM (National Institute of Personnel Management).

He is currently the member, Governing Council of ICA under the aegis of FICCI.

He has widely traveled and visited overseas countries viz. Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Dubai, Singapore, Philippines, Europe, USA and far-east countries as part of his job.




  • Pulin Kumar is a Group Senior Legal and Compliance Director of adidas India. Currently he looks after the legal and compliance functions of the group i.e. adidas India and Reebok India. The mandate includes contract, compliance, litigation management and advisory of the legal commercial issues.
  • Pulin Kumar is a commerce graduate from Patna University and graduated in law from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi in the year 1991. He is also a PG Diploma in IR&PM from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, New Delhi.
  • Pulin Kumar has started his journey as in-house counsel from Indian and MNC conglomerates such as Montari Industries, Triveni Engineering, Ambuja Cements, New Holland Tractors, Jubilant Organosys, Samsung India and currently with adidas India.
  • Pulin Kumar has been a part of many significant best practices and improvements in the internal governance related to the corporate sector and has immensely contributed in this area. He has been actively participating in legal conferences. He also co-hosts a knowledge sharing platform “Sadgamaya” an informal association, founded by a few likeminded General Counsels and lawyers.
